HPCrazy's Guitar Academy
I am happy to supervise a small limited number of students or pupils in guitar lessons. This makes it possible to maintain a family atmosphere with all students, which is very important to me personally. The main focus of my lessons is modern guitar playing. With my know-how and experience, I cover all areas, every playing technique and every form of expression of modern guitar playing and am able to optimally supervise every level from beginners to aspiring professional guitarists.

Students are of course also interested in how their guitar teacher himself masters the guitar and what his career is like. I started playing the guitar at the age of 20, but at that time I was already a professional pianist. I have a college degree as a guitarist and practiced between 10-16 hours a day until the age of 30, so I know all aspects of a guitarist's career and know the problems at every level.
Concept
First things first - The student is always the focus of the lesson. What are the personal goals, wishes, talents and requirements? The teaching offer and system is very diverse and is individually adapted. The student determines the goals and the time frame, which can be invested regularly for the guitar. On the basis of this information we work out a concept together, which integrates the goals on the guitar and everyday life with all professional and family obligations. Consistency and continued enjoyment of the instrument are the key to lasting success. The student can choose between a weekly or a 2 week lesson rhythm. This is determined according to the objectives and the time frame the student has available. A constant flow of new information or learning content is important for optimal learning success, even if it is often not possible to master it completely until the next lesson. This is calculated because our human system needs a longer time to process learning content completely. As an example, technical aspects of guitar playing in particular require a longer time to be formed, depending on the intensity of the practice. It is only possible to speed up the learning process to a certain point if one can optimize the practice behavior and establish a long-term regularity in practicing. Basically, the better and faster a student can process learning contents, the more he/she will be supported with learning contents. The teaching concept is designed to optimise this learning process and to ensure that the joy of playing and music can remain constant in the long term. This is the key to lasting success for every playing level and every time management in everyday life.
The ultimate goal in teaching is the emotional connection to the instrument. This is the key to music and to an own and creative guitar playing for every level (beginner - professional student). The core of this approach is that the desire to be able to play the guitar is based on the fact that everyone wants to make music, i.e. wants to express themselves emotionally on the guitar. Each person lives and experiences emotions individually. The forms of expression are as different as people can be. There are students who enjoy free improvisation, others love to interpret a given piece of music precisely and there are many intermediate forms of these two main forms of musical expression. Through my experience as a guitar teacher and guitar lecturer, but also through my additional training in the psychological field, I have the experience to promote the personal emotional expression on the instrument by talking together in class with specific individual exercises on the guitar. The main focus of the exercises is how personal emotions, images or impressions can be realized on the guitar. From beginners to professionals, this is the key to enjoying music and the guitar and is the last step on the road to long-term success.
Music for any level
Every guitar student wants to be able to play his / her personal Lieblichgs piece as soon as possible. That is no problem. In class the students wish to have their own piece they want to play and we listen to it on YouTube or Spotify and while listening I create a version which is adapted to the current playing level of the student. On request I also create sheet music for the corresponding piece. It is also no problem to learn a desired piece in the original.
Psychological Improvisation Concept
The improvisation in the genres Blues, Jazz, Rock and many others is the goal of many guitarists / inside. Questions about personal expression, techniques how to achieve this are treated by the psychological improvisation concert developed by me. The basis of the psychological improvisation concept comes from music therapy. With which emotionality do I play a single note or a sequence of notes on the guitar ? Is the emotion joy, anger, sadness, relaxation, falling in love or whatever emotion. The transfer of emotions, pictures, colours, impressions into a flow of play in improvisation make a significant difference to how the improvisation sounds at the end and whether you yourself get into the flow of play and thereby play more creatively. Visualization exercises in connection with improvisation make the essential difference and from experience it is often the case that blockages in improvisation are solved in exactly the same way and improvisations then flow and sound great musically. This concept works for every level of play and is the central point in my improvisation concept. Of course the purely technical aspects such as scales, licks, melodies, rhythm and harmony are also learned and integrated. This is the essential difference to music therapy. Private online guitar lessons
Those who live too far away or for personal reasons do not have time to come to Studio Egg can also take private online lessons. The concept described above also works in the online form. I have experience since 2003, where the student gets a 20 video / lesson after the allocation either by a personal meeting or by a telephone conversation together with filling in the allocation form, which is recorded based on the video sent by the student. It is possible to have lessons online only or to have a combination of live and online lessons depending on the schedule. All these concepts and combinations have proven themselves over the years.

The core of the online guitar academy is my YouTube channel which gets with more than 100000 visitors / month (status 2020) a pleasant worldwide attention. There you can view the general form of the teaching program Konzpet for free. Access to the guitar sheet music and the backing tracks requires a premium membership starting at 3.75 $ / month. If you are really totally into guitar playing and you want to learn my philosophy and perception of it you can study guitar with private lessons either online or in my studio in Egg ( Switzerland ). I will only give this diploma to somebody who reaches a total connection to music and the guitar with an individual emotional expression.

Wo soll ich beginnen… …ich habe gesucht und gefunden… Als Kind lernte ich, wie wohl die meisten, mit Mani Matter Liedern einige Gitarrengriffe. Danach folgten erste Stücke in klassischer Gitarre. Irgendwann hatte ich keine Freude mehr daran. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich nichts mehr dazulerne, nicht meine Musik ausdrücken kann, sondern nur noch Stück um Stück eintrainiere. Auch war es nicht meine Stilrichtung. Die Gitarre verstaubte und kam erst durch meine Arbeit mit Kindern wieder zum Einsatz… ...und so erwachte der innere Wunsch, elektrische Gitarre zu lernen, meine "innere Musik" zum Ausdruck bringen zu können. Also machte ich mich auf die Suche. Ein erster Versuch bei einem Musiker aus der Region misslang. In jeder Lektion wurde ich gefragt, was ich in dieser Stunde lernen möchte. "Ich möchte E-Gitarre lernen (!)…aber ich kenne die einzelnen Schritte nicht." Also suchte ich weiter und stiess auf die Website von HP Crazy. Schon nach der ersten Probelektion war für mich klar: "that's it"! Hanspeter erfasste beeindruckend genau wo ich stand, welches die nächsten Schritte sind und wohin ich möchte…und, ich konnte als alleinerziehende berufstätige Mutter aus dem Kanton Bern ohne lange Reise nach Zürich meinen Traum angehen: Mit der Gitarre ausdrücken, was von innen kommt. Nun sind es schon ein paar Jahre, seit dieser Probelektion und ich bin immer noch begeistert. In jeder Lektion lerne ich aufbauend auf dem vorherigen Puzzle-Teil das nächste Puzzle-Teil. Hanspeter führt mich mit jeder Lektion meinem Traum näher. Und das individuell auf mich abgestimmt. Er erklärt und zeigt mir das zu Lernende sehr verständlich und genau. Er passt sich dabei meinem Niveau an und bringt's auf den Punkt. Hanspeter gibt konstruktive Rückmeldungen, die mich weiterbringen und dies auf eine sehr wertschätzende und wohlwollende Art. Obwohl der Unterricht "nur" per Video erfolgt, herrscht eine persönliche angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich freue mich jedes Mal auf das neue Video. Ich geniesse es auch, dass ich die Videos bzw. die Lektionen in meinem Tempo bearbeiten kann. …ich werde mit Freude bei Hanspeter weiter lernen, bis mein Puzzle komplett ist. Danke für alles!

Ich hatte viele Jahre keine Gitarre mehr gespielt und vorher auch nur sehr Basic. Pantatonik und einige Chords, das war es dann. Nun hat mich das Thema Jazz vor einem Jahr gepackt. Ich kann nun mit Sicherheit sagen, dass ich so schnell nirgends soweit gekommen wäre, ohne diesen genialen, individuell auf die Person bezogenen Unterreicht von Hanspeter Krüsi. Natürlich habe ich noch einen sehr weiten Weg vor mir aber trotzdem kann ich schon Improvisieren und etwas Comping steht auch schon auf Abruf bereit. Das Genre ist ja sehr Umfänglich und Komplex und benötigt sicher sehr viel Disziplin und genau weil es so Komplex ist, braucht es einen Lehrer der dies Logisch vermitteln kann. Trotz enormen Infos im Internet, YouTube Mobile Apps ect. kommt man mit Sicherheit nicht so schnell und vor allem seriös zum Ziel. Jede Stunde ist wieder ein "Aha-Effekt" und spornt einem von neuem an. Sogar trockene Übungen machen Spass das man immer einen genialen Backingtrack gleich mitgeliefert bekommt. Ich kann diesen Unterricht nur wärmstens empfehlen.

ich mein, immerhin hast du jemandem das gitarrenspiel beigebracht, der nicht nur in der CH die klampfe auf die bühne einer spelunke stemmt und covers runterleiert, sondern auch in Deutschland, den USA, in New Zealand, Tahiti, Norwegen und so weiter auf den bühnen steht. ich find, das verdient respekt, denn ohne DICH wäre mir das nämlich nie passiert, weil ich nebst dem rumklampfen vorallem den glauben an der sache bei dir gelernt habe :-) yes, yes und dank diesem willen durch zu halten, ist in vier wochen dein ehemaliger lehrling wieder für 5 wochen auf usa-tour an der westküste unterwegs und spielt wie letztes jahr auch, am wohl schrägsten festival der welt mit ca. 50'0000 verkauften tickets in der wüste nevadas - dem burning man - und im berüchtigten viper room am sunset blvd in los angeles und so weiter.........und im dezember ist meine/unsere debut-scheibe fertig und richtig fett und alles, damit nächstes jahr eine grosse tour gemacht werden kann. damit das geht habi meinen alten beruf geschmissen, jobbe noch maximal 3 tage pro woche rum um die scheibe zu finanzieren und mache nur noch musik und alles was halt dazu gehört, wohne 6 monate im jahr in san francisco und 6 monate in zürich. hab ich alles bei dir gelernt jajaajajajajaajajajajaaaaaa und ich weiss das, wenn ich diesen artikel lese. drum gratulation und vorallem danke, dass du das machst was du machst und vorallem, wie du es machst! und mir gratuliere ich, dass ich in dir damals einen super guten typen als lehrer gefunden hab, der nicht bloss saiten shredden kann :-) pädagogische rakete irgendwie, denn es geht mir heute so sau gut, weil ich mache, was ich machen will und nicht weil ich wie früher mache, was ich glaube machen zu wollen :-)

Ich kann HP's Privatunterricht an alle, die Gitarre lernen wollen nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ich hatte vorhin nie Unterricht und dank HP habe ich verhältnismässig enorme Fortschritte in kurzer Zeit gemacht. Oberstes Gebot seines Unterrichtskonzepts ist: Der Spass hat Vorrang! HP ist stets
bemüht aus jedem Gitarristen die eigene Individualität zu fördern, anstatt pausenlos irgendwelche Songs und Licks in- und auswendig zu lernen oder genau so wie dieser oder jener Künstler tönen zu müssen. Nur schon diese Faktoren machen HP zu einem Top Lehrer, oder besser gesagt, Coach/Begleiter. Das tolle am Unterricht ist, dass man ihn mitgestalten kann, in dem man HP einfach seine Wünsche und Anregungen mitteilt. Zusätzlich zum Privatunterricht bietet HP noch seine Online Schule als weitere Quelle an, wo die ganz wissenshungrigen tonnenweise zusätzliches Material (Video und Text) im selben Unterrichtsstil finden können. In den zwei Jahren, in denen ich deinen Privaten Gitarrenunterricht besucht habe, konnte ich dank deinem vielseitigen Gitarrenspiel einen Einblick in fast allen denkbaren Genres und Spieltechniken erhalten. Dein dynamisches, unkompliziertes Unterrichtskonzept hat es mir ermöglicht, meinen eigenen musikalischen Ausdruck auf der Gitarre zu finden. Gerade die Tatsache, dass du mich auf meinem Weg ständig unterstützt und kompetent berätst, macht deinen Unterricht für mich einzigartig. Statt einem „Masterplan“ zu folgen und ein Song nach dem anderen Auswendig zu lernen, begleitest du mich auf meinem eigenen Weg. Somit bist du mehr ein Gitarren-Coach als ein gewöhnlicher Lehrer ;)
Dank deinem Unterricht kann ich mehr und mehr mein Lieblingsinstrument als ein Ausdrucksmittel für Gedanken und Emotionen verwenden, wodurch meine eigenen Kompositionen mit der Zeit viel kräftiger und persönlicher geworden sind, was für mich sehr viel wertvoller ist als ein paar Songs aus dem Radio spielen zu können. Ich habe gelernt Musik zu machen.

Vielen Dank für das Video. Ja, ich bin mit dem Fortschritt soweit eigentlich auch ganz zufrieden, natürlich sieht man selber immer was man noch alles nicht kann, es macht aber schon Spass zu merken, wie gewissen Dinge plötzlich einfacher gehen. Ich habe ziemlich viel Pentatonic spielen gegen das Metronom geübt, das hat mir schon geholfen, was das Taktgefühl betrifft. Ich muss aber auch zugeben, dass ich damals das Peter Gun Video welches so schlecht war, in einem ziemlichen Stress und unter Jet Lag aufgenommen habe, eigentlich hätte ich’s schon etwas besser gekonnt. Aber wie auch immer, ich möchte an dieser Stelle für die Lektionen danken und auch mal ein grosses Kompliment aussprechen, ich finde das ganze Konzept und wie Du auf einem eingehst mit den Lektionen wirklich super. Ich habe echt einen Riesenspass und freue mich jetzt schon auf die Fortsetzung.
