HPCrazy Guitar Diploma
If you are really totally into guitar playing and you want to learn my philosophy and perception of it you can study guitar with private lessons either online or in my studio in Egg ( Switzerland ). I will only give this diploma to somebody who reaches a total connection to music and the guitar with an individual emotional expression.
Study Guitar with HPCrazy
If you wish to study guitar, music and personal musical self-expression very intensively over a freely chosen period of time, I have been offering you an individualized and part-time form of guitar study since 2013.
The individual support takes place here in an intensive exchange and personalized form of instruction both in Studio Egg, but can also be completed or combined with private online lessons. Before the course of study begins, the learning objective is defined in an interview and the weekly lessons required for this. If desired, a final examination can be taken on the desired and developed topics. The grading is done according to university standards, whereby the highest grade corresponds to a perfect accomplishment of the chosen task. It is also possible to get a certificate of achievement in the form of a confirmation for the completion of the studies and if desired the corresponding achievements from the examinations from me.
If someone wants to reach my HPCrazy diploma the following guidelines apply:
1. at least 2 parts (see list below - rhythm and harmony are compulsory subjects) incl. examination and a grade of at least 4.0 ( from 1 - 6 )
2. mature artistic expression on the instrument. This must be shown to live audiences in the form of a self-organised concert. The minimum grade to pass is 5.0.
3. the concert organization as well as the online presence must be developed and implemented by the student himself. This includes a professional social media strategy on all platforms and the publication of at least 1 CD on all online platforms.
The assessments of the tests are strict. The top score of 6 corresponds to perfect performance in the chosen topic. The focus of the live performance is on the aspect whether a concert program can lead an audience through the evening, shows an own artistic mature expression, is innovative in its kind and whether the guitar plays a leading role. The HPCrazy diploma is above all a guitar diploma which fulfills highest standards. Theory subjects play only a supporting role apart from the above-mentioned compulsory subjects.
Recognition of the diploma :
My version of a guitar diploma does not correspond to the Bologna Bachelor - Master System and focuses on artistic guitaristic expression. Here are my references as a lecturer.

Details about studying guitar
Conditions :
Anyone who has the time, the motivation and the unconditional will to achieve an ambitious goal and to work intensively with music and the guitar over a period of at least 6 - 12 months is admitted. The entry level does not matter, but in principle a study only makes sense after about 3 years of an already intensive examination of the guitar.
Classification :
Before the beginning of the study a student is classified and examined. This happens through a conversation, where the goals, the temporal possibilities and the guitar playing and the musical knowledge are examined by me and the desired goal is estimated under consideration of the temporal possibilities. A solution and a concept are discussed and worked out together.
Concept :
In the weekly lessons one lesson is intended for guitar lessons and another for the extended topics (see list below). Further weekly lessons ( at least 1 ) will be taken according to your wishes and conceptual plan. The concept of the study is very individual and is subordinated to the goal defined in the classification. The application of the various possible topics is selected according to the objective and divided in the weekly plan. Goals can also be changed during the course of study and the lesson plan adapted accordingly. But as a teacher, I insist on a certain willingness to persevere in my studies.

Studied music and guitar playing and finished my studies with compared to todays masterdegrees. 1999 - 2005 : Various mandates in Swiss Universities of Music - ACM ( today ZKdK ) and WIAM. I supervised up to 30 students per week who wanted to become professional musicians. Various guest mandates and lectures in guitar workshops in other music schools. 2005 Lecturer and representative of the SMPV at the D-A-CH Symposium in Germany. Lectures on music lessons and internet. Concepts and experience reports. SMPV ( Swiss Music Pedagogical Association ) Accreditation ( authorization ) 1999 - 2007 for private university education and SMPV consulting and teaching activities. The accreditation was an authorization to train private students to become professional musicians. During this time I gained a lot of experience in optimizing learning content for a general worldwide audience. Feedback, statistics and experience reports from that time are the basis of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. At the same time, I ran the Gitarrenforum.eu - a leading online portal in Europe at that time for guitar and guitar lessons. Starting in 2013, management of a successful guitar channel on YouTube under the name HPCrazy with currently over 27000 subscribers, over 100000 visitors / month and over 600000 viewed minutes / month. Ich absolviere das Gitarrenstudium bei HP, mit meinem selbstgewählten Stilistik Schwerpunkt in den Bereichen Blues und Rock, nun seit einem guten halben Jahr. In zwei Lektionen pro Woche findet der Hauptunterricht an der Gitarre statt. Zusätzlich erfolgt im zweiwöchigen Rhythmus jeweils eine Lektion im Nebenfach Klavier. Auf der Basis meiner aktuellen Fähigkeiten am Instrument und im musikalischen Ausdruck und ausgehend von meiner individuellen Zielformulierung zu Beginn des Studiums erfolgt eine sehr intensive und vor allem sehr individuelle Begleitung. Diese Individualität zeigt sich darin, dass die einzelnen Lektionen in keinster Weise starr einem engen, nach klaren Vorgaben strukturierten Lehrplan folgen. Die Pädagogik von HP folgt vielmehr einem prozessbegleitenden, flexiblen und meinen aktuellen Bedürfnissen entsprechenden Konzept. Trotz dieser Flexibilität und auch Spontanität in jeder einzelnen Lektion ist in der Vermittlung der Inhalte eine klare Struktur deutlich erkennbar, welche die Umsetzung des neu gelernten extrem vereinfacht.
In HPs Unterricht gibt es einen ganz wesentlichen roten Faden, welcher sich durch sämtliche Lektionen hindurch zieht. Dieser Schwerpunkt liegt in der Entwicklung der persönlichen musikalischen Ausdrucksfähigkeit am Instrument. Und dies zu jedem Zeitpunkt, unabhängig vom aktuellen spieltechnischen Level, unabhängig ob ich dafür eine einzige Note, irgend ein Blueslick oder eine komplexe Skalensequenz zur Verfügung habe. Die Freude an der Musik als eine sehr persönliche Ausdrucksform wird somit ganz in das Zentrum des Studiums gerückt.
In den Lektionen besteht eine sehr wertschätzende und eine sehr direkte konstruktiv kritische Atmosphäre. Wenn etwas nicht so gut bzw. nicht so überzeugend gespielt wurde, wird dies von HP auch ganz klar angesprochen und in keinster Weise irgendwie schön geredet. Gleichzeitig gelingt es HP davon ausgehend, ganz konkret und motivierend die nächsten persönlichen Arbeitsschritte zu vermitteln. Und so geschieht bereits in jeder einzelnen Lektion eine deutliche Entwicklung und das Gespielte klingt am Ende der 45 Minuten deutlich anders, besser und ausdrucksstärker als zu Beginn der Lektion. Unter anderem auch zu diesem Zweck lasse ich immer einen mobilen mp3 Recorder die ganze Stunde mitlaufen.
Ab da beginnt dann die intensive selbständige eigene Arbeit, um das neu gelernte auch wirklich vertiefen und in das eigene Spiel integrieren zu können. Dabei darf in keinster Weise der immense Informationsgehalt einer 45 Minuten Lektion unterschätzt werden. Dies ist für mich ein weiterer Grund den Recorder mitlaufen zu lassen. Und man braucht schon wirklich Zeit und einen gewissen inneren Freiraum um sich auf den gesamten Prozess einlassen zu können. Aber dann geschieht wirklich langsam genau das, wie es HP zu Beginn des Studiums formuliert hat, man kommt zunehmend mehr und mehr in Kontakt und in Beziehung zum Instrument und zur Musik.
Insgesamt kann ich meine bisherigen Eindrücke des Gitarrenstudiums bei HP nach einem halben Jahr so zusammenfassen: HP schafft in seinem Unterricht eine freundschaftliche und wertschätzende Atmosphäre. In seiner Funktion als Begleiter und Guide ist eine klare Linie erkennbar, trotzdem liegt der Schwerpunkt auf Individualität und persönlichem Ausdruck. Technische Fähigkeiten auf professionellem Niveau können bei Bedarf erlernt werden, werden aber ganz klar dem persönlichen Ausdruck untergeordnet. Die jeweiligen Themen und Inhalte werden genau dann behandelt wenn sie für mein persönliches Spiel notwendig sind, d.h. zum richtigen Zeitpunkt und nicht in jener Lektion, in der sie am Lehrplan stehen. So entsteht Schritt für Schritt, mal schneller, allerdings häufig auch mal langsamer mein persönliches Mosaik der musikalischen Ausdrucksfähigkeit. Dieses Mosaik kann je nach persönlichem Wunsch immer weiter ausgeweitet und vervollständigt werden. Die Freude an der Musik und die Entwicklung einer damit im Zusammenhang stehenden persönliche Entwicklung ist der übergeordnete Schwerpunkt.
