Touch Technique : This amazing playing technique was invented by Stanley Jorden. It is very difficult to play because you create the tone on the guitar by tapping very hard on the fretboard instead on picking the string with your fingers or a pick. My interpretation of this technic is different from the original. I play without a damper which allows me to skip between normal playing techniques and the touch technique. This also allows me to add some slap - techniques which you might know from bass - players and I work a lot with open - string techniques which would not be possible when I would use a damper which most of the very few guitarist use who are able to play this style. This gives my interpretation of the touch technique a unique sound and gives my originals which I composed based on my modifications its special ambience.

Influences :

Keith Jarett : His ability to really get emotinal into a soloperformance and to let all the musical energies flowing.
Stanley Jordon : For me his playing is still unbelievable. His level of playing the touch technique on guitar is still the best I have ever heard.
Paco de Lucia : His feeling and his technical abilities on the flamencoguitar still have a effect on my way how I triing to get into the flamenco-style guitar.
George Benson : His cool and funky way of playing the jazzguitar allways had a influence on my playingstyle in jazz.
Miles Davis : His understanding of time and space in jazz had given me a important direction in understanding and feeling music.
Tuck Andress : His way of playing solo jazzguitar always fascinated me. Special his way how he was playing the chords in combination with a percussive playing style.
Nicolo Paggannini : I was always a fan of classical violin solopieces. I worked on his 24 caprices for quite a long time to get more into this way of thinking and feeling music.
Brad Mehldau : His playing on solopiano impressed me very much and gave me a lot of ideas and views to make the step between classic and jazz.
